Since there are numerous communities making up the North Texas TORCH Chapter metro-area, Providers are urged to consult their immediate city government for zoning ordinances and other municipal codes which affect elder housing operations. It’s vital to know what limits each city sets for census in any give residential assisted living or residential care property. From there, each provider will be in touch with municipal offices influencing operations, as well as the Dallas County Health Department (food handling requirements). More information on local contacts will be available later in the Spring months of 2014. Until then, feel free to call an officer for pointers and details.
